Blog + music = mogFantastic! I love that idea. Now I have a place to discuss all things music and post up a song a day. Well, not everyday. But maybe when I feel like talking about it.So far, I've been really into the French house scene and electronica. Primarily Daft Punk and the Ed Banger crew (like every hipster out there). I don't even blame them. It's good stuff to hear. I'm tired of going to shows and just standing there, bobbing my head to the music. I'm glad dancing during shows have been socially accepted. Like at the Daft Punk show I recently attended at the Greek Theatre. I know everyone's sick of hearing about how the Daft Punk show was and everyone and their mother have been ranting and raving about how great the show was. And I'm here to say that all of it is TRUE. Everyone was dancing and going crazy. Of course, why wouldn't you when Daft Punk is playing an awesome DJ set? When I went to the show, the energy was just crazy. Everyone fed off of each other's energy and it just became this huge, surreal experience where the music was the only thing that mattered. I sound like I took some acid or something, but it was actually like that. Well, for me that is. It was all about the music.I don't think I'll be able to experience another concert like that. If something were to equate to that Daft Punk concert or top it, I would be in awe.Okay, maybe next time I'll talk more about other artists instead of just Daft Punk.Adios.I posted a song up from Daft Punk's set, which was actually played at Coachella 2006, but they played the same one during Alive 2007. I would've posted One More Time (Aerodynamic remix), but the file was too big and I didn't feel like lowering the bitrate, so... this will do.P.S. In Daft Punk's song "Superheroes", they sample Barry Manilow's "Who's Been Sleeping in My Bed" with the line "Something's in the Air". Interesting, eh?
