AFI is a punk/rock band from Ukiah, California, formed in 1991 by Davey Havok (vocals), Mark Stopholese (guitar), Vic Chalker (bass) and Adam Carson (drums). Vic was quickly replaced by Geoff Kresge. Their original sound was typical of their East Bay surroundings: hardcore punk. In 1996 Jeff left to be replaced my AFI's current basist, Hunter Burgan, and in 1998 Mark left to be replaced with close friend of the band and ex-guitarist of Loose Change and Redemption 87, Jade Puget.
