Thorsten Fenslau was one of the original pioneers of Dance Music in Germany. He achieved some commercial success with Culture Beat's "Mr Vain", but was far better known for his appearances as resident DJ at Dorian Gray, the legendary Frankfurt club underneath the airport runway. He died tragically in a car accident in 1993. Here's my favourite piece of his work:
