so my first potter show was a night show in Lawrence, Ks at a little fest. called Wakarusa. now i had been a GPTN fan for about year and was pretty excited about seeing the show. the day of the show it was around 100 degrees and my diet had consisted of beer, grilled cheese, beer and another case of beer. now, like i said this was a night show, i couldnt tell you what time the show started, or ended for that matter, but i can tell you that i was in the best state a man could be in to see a live show. im sure there are a few of you out there that may be readying this and thinking wow, just another drunk asswhole at a hippy festival, well your right. i would go as far as to say asswhole, i'm extremely respectful when it come to my neighbors at a show, but i was that guy in the front row with my shirt off, dancing the ENTIRE time, sweating profusely, and loving every minute of it. oh, did i mention front row?? the best thing about the festival was the fact that you could get front row to every show... now joke, i've got the pictures to prove it, but this show by FAR was may best show of the fest. and possibly the best show that year. i have to say i wasnt sure what to expect for the band and grace, but they put on an electrifying show one that i will never forget and made me a life long fan of GPTN. check out the show at http://www.archive.org/details/gpn2006-06-08.AKG461.flacf... Grace Potter and the Nocturnals are one of, if not thee best, live show out right now. if you're into an up-beat, loud, get of your ass and dance show, this is it! oh and did i mention Grace Potter's voice, UNBELIEVEABLE! do yourself a favor, if you haven't scene the kids play yet, go spend the $30 bucks and catch a show that you will never forget! im going to post some video's of the band that you all can check out, there will be a series of them, so check back often!
