WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

A French horn, 3 corsets and a human beatbox

That's what you'd see on the stage of an Imogen Heap show. And the show was absolutely mind-blowing. I was stunned, from beginning to end. I decided to take a friend instead of dump my tickets, and I'm sooooooooooooo glad I did. Imogen Heap is a gifted vocalist, composer, musician and all-around cool person. And it's not all airy-fairy vocals and frou-frou sounds. Imogen really does rock.I really can't figure out at the moment how to describe what I saw and heard any better than this, so suffice it to say that if you have the chance to see her in any of the remaining cities on her tour, you really should go. I am nearly 100% positive that anyone who saw her at the Wiltern on Friday would concur.Dec 3 San Francisco - WarfieldDec 5 Portland - Crystal BallroomDec 6 Seattle - ShowboxDec 8 Salt Lake City - In The VenueDec 10 Denver - Paramount TheatreDec 12 Lawrence - Liberty HallDec 13 St Louis - The PageantDec 15 Minneapolis - The QuestDec 16 Milwaukee - The Eagles ClubDec 18 Detroit - Royal Oak Music TheatreDec 19 Chicago - Riviera Theatre

  2. dermahrk says Definitely worth seeing. But skip "Kid Beyond" the human beatbox opening act who is also in her band. Like 40-minute drum solos? No, I didn't think so......

  3. autohypnosis says Imogen's probably the most talented solo artist out there right now. I've seen her live twice so far and was blown away both times.
