By 1992, he was one of the first to use a laptop to produce real-time electroacoustic music in his Tectonics performances and recordings which married his wide-ranging invented vocabulary of extended techniques and sounds with the rhythmic innovations of jungle and electronic dance music. Tectonics continues to be the name for this project and he has performed it throughout Japan, Europe, the Brazilian Amazon rainforest, and now Beijing, China.
