MOG MOG

WHERE E=MC HAMMER

Album:

My condolences to everyone who lost a dear friend this week. Very sad news. The beautiful thing to hold on to, as so many have pointed out, is that Chris seemed to be doing exactly what he wanted with his life, and lived with real passion. Amen.

Speaking of passion.

Having watched a great video over on Kristofer's page last week, I was put in mind of this sort of post. The one where I admit that there are certain albums that are only "allowed" to come out of their sleeves maybe once a year, if that.

Gentlemen is by far my biggest albatross. I don't know if that's even really the best metaphor to use, but it's the first one that jumped to mind.

Every track evokes such strong emotions in me, from a summer long ago with a first love. I guess that's a big blatant example of the seeds of the end revealed in the beginning, no? From such sources comes a certain brand of passion though. From such passion comes kickass albums, like Gentlemen.

I had the pleasure of working the twilight singers records awhile back and I was able to catch a few shows. I dug those cats. Mr Greg does the rock star thing to perfection. He's a rock stars rock star no matter how small the audience or venue. He's good real good. Nice one.

So cool to hit upon a single album that as it turns out unites, to different degrees, myself and my top trusteds. Cool.

Yeah Poe, that song is one of my favorites too, I couldn't find a live version of it though. And yes, Dulli is THE man.

Sorry it took so long to get back to this but things have been a little outta whack lately.

Well, this should have charged me up for the rest of the work day, but I still think I need a pack of cookies from the vending machine. :>)
