i hate everything about saliva. i hate their music, i hate their vocals, i hate their lyrics, i hate their live show, i hate the bands they tour with, i hate their fashion sense, i hate their hometown, i hate everything about saliva. "but mickey, it says you're from memphis, tennessee... that's your hometown!" memphis sucks. we're number one in a lot of things. a couple of them being violent crimes and assaults. and some more being vehicular larceny and grand theft auto. one thing we are not good at is music.
nothin more need be said really. mc chris is the shit, plain and simple. he's got beats and rhymes for days plus he can flow like a motherfucker. if he's comin to a town near you... make the trip, it's worth it, scout's honor. he put on a near 2 hour show last night and it was like getting that milkshake that's just right you know... the perfect mixture of things you love... mc chris... and ummm... ice cream. or somethin. mc chris is the double peanutbutter fudge shake of rappers. or if you're into hamburgers he's that limited time only special southwest supersonic cheeseburger they sold at sonic during the summer, yeah, the one with the little fried jalepeno strips. i know you might think i'm insane for comparing him to something that's so good, but, yeah, he's that good. he took requests from the audience for an hour and it made me scream "brilliant!" "shit!" "fuck!" "mc motherfuckin chris!" and "hells yea!" after the show he hung out till everyone was finished talkin to him, givin their short salutations and gratitude spills. he probly signed 400 billion kajillion autographs. one being my shirt (that i bought even though i'm too poor): "MFN MC CHRIS!" and another being my friends dungeon master of ceremonies album: "WEED F U DEWD!! MC CHRIS" everyone listen to mc chris and throw your rap hands in the air and say "fuck that shit!" let me hear ya say "fuck that shit!"

i'm bummed. bought my tickets 3 months ago. super-psyched. moved out of the house. job's slow. no money. no transport. no place to stay. i'll cut my losses. so far this year i've wasted 90 bucks on shows i haven't been able to attend. the other two were of montreal and simon dawes. and to top it off i couldn't find anyone to buy my ticket. 2-days of music. in the greatest city in the world. cheers. we'll try again next year. and i won't get started on all the shows i missed just because... buh... oh well... death cab and mc chris aren't too far away now. until then!

Same thing happened to me this year for the Austin City Limits Festival in Sept...life has a funny way of getting in the way sometime...i feel your pain!

i had to let some tickets go for ana egge and the be good tanyas this week, a show i was waiting forever to see, and for no good reason either. try selling em on craigslist.org next time. if you're in l.a. sometime i'll get you into a free concert or two to try and lift your spirits a bit.

Ha... I believe it was almost exactly one year ago when I layed down on a bench listening to "Bleed For Me" on a ferry on my way back to Seattle, and crying... yeah, that's about all this band is good for.
