Last night's theme, apparently, was solid female singer-songwriters. While there were also appearances on the tube from the Swell Season and Los Lonely Boys, the Internet doesn't feel like forcing those videos into existence, so we'll pretend it just didn't happen. Still, there's enough fun to go around today. While Norah Jones is rightfully tossed in as the young singer of choice for the 40+ crowd, there's still something charming about her singing and style, at least more enjoyable than most othe singers you're forced to hear on mainstream radio. Meanwhile, legend Carly Simon stopped by to perform alongside the Roots on Jimmy Fallon for a spirited rendition of "You Belong to Me," complete with DJ scratches. Those Roots, they can't be stopped! Fallon really needs to give them a raise or something, because we absolutely love them.
