Late Show Roundup With Taylor Swift, The Pixies, and More

Posted about 1 month ago

It figures that the best late night action of last week happened on the two days where most of us are out doing anything but watching TV. Regardless, that's what the Internet is for. As has been talked about everywhere, Taylor Swift made her debut as Saturday Night Live host/performer over the weekend. Aside from giving fans a taste of her tunes, Swift also used her monologue slot to perform the "monologue song," making some seriously funny jabs at her former Jonas sweetheart, Kanye, and that guy from Twilight she is rumored to be dating. Meanwhile, Friday night brought two treats in the form of the Pixies and Regina Spektor. The Pixies, in the midst of their Doolittle tour, brought a song from their classic album to Conan, and of course you have to check it out because it's awesome.

Taylor Swift -- "Monologue Song (La La La)" (Live on Saturday Night Live)

Taylor Swift -- "You Belong With Me" (Live on Saturday Night Live)

Taylor Swift -- "Untouchable" (Live on Saturday Night Live)

The Pixies -- "Here Comes Your Man" (Live on the Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien)

Regina Spektor -- "Eet" (Live on the Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson)

nice to see the Pixies here on a Monday morning, man.  thx.

Taylor Swift was actually pretty funny on SNL, but the best line on the show was on the news.  not sure if i'll get the quote quite right, but "there's too many holes in this story" needs to be seen in context.
