All or Nothin'

I am excited, _elated_, _*overjoyed*_ about Coachella. "The set times have been posted":http://www.coachella.com/event/set-times, and I am playing my own little version of the People's Choice Awards here. As is always the case with music festivals, there are some dilemmas (the biggest one right now is Against Me! vs. Rodrigo Y Gabriela, both of which I _really_ want to see). But no complaints. I get to fly across the country with 2 of my favorite people in the world, I get 3 days off of work, and a vacation which is devoted to music! Woohoo! Oh, and how could I forget...

Rage Against The Machine

I must admit, though, it's been painful to have so much of my concert budget allotted to this one trip. Last week, for example, I gave up Widespread Panic, Bonnie Raitt, _and_ *Gov't Mule*. This one hurts me the most. I don't play favorites; but every time I see the Mule on stage I'm more and more in love. Warren Haynes is the man, plain & simple (not to downplay the other three guys - Matt Abts on drums, Danny Louis on keys, and Andy Hess on bass). Here's "Rocking Horse" recorded live in Cologne. Warning - this is hot fire!

  9. kat3260 says well, his set is only a couple hours before RATM, so I'm planning on keeping my ass planted in front of the main stage so I get as close as possible to the front :/

  11. Lizziegreeneyes says That's a hard one ... Amos Lee (from Philly) is just lovely live ... a living doll, and quite purdy. The Frames are one you MUST see. got to see part of their set last night (my friend's husband called completely frantic about their 4 month old, we left really early, but it was my offer ... she'd do it for me in a heartbeat - and we've seen them loads), next time they're in town, I am SO there !!! HAVE A BLAST IN AT COACHELLA !!! Say hi to Tom for me !!!

  12. kat3260 says Ahhh I wish I could have said hello (and more) to Tom, but alas, I didn't get to. And I also didn't get to see The Frames, but I will definitely be checking them out in the near future.
