The Smashing Pumpkins Were Great At One Point....

This is an amazing acoustic performance by Billy Corgan and Smashing Pumpkins...I liked them...you can see that at one point, they were really sharp.Download this live Smashing Pumpkins show -the record release party for Siamese Dream (A Classic in my opinion), Tower Records, Chicago, July 26, 1993."Rocket":http://idisk.mac.com/jenningsaske/Public/rbally/smash/01_Rocket.mp3"Cherub Rock":http://idisk.mac.com/jenningsaske/Public/rbally/smash/02_Cherub_Rock.mp3"Today":http://idisk.mac.com/jenningsaske/Public/rbally/smash/03_Today.mp3"Mayonaise":http://idisk.mac.com/jenningsaske/Public/rbally/smash/04_Mayonaise.mp3"Hummer":http://idisk.mac.com/jenningsaske/Public/rbally/smash/05_Hummer.mp3

  1. amelia says Some of the best shows I've ever seen were in the early 90s in Chicago when the Pumpkins were just starting out... it was always a steal (the shows were dirt cheap) -- boy, do I miss those days.

  2. Spencer Owen says Yeah, man, that Billy C - er, Smashing Pumpkins album Siamese Dream is pretty nice. I like "Quiet."

  3. Pseudo Cyborg says I've gotta say, I'm on the same page with everyone else so far. Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness was the begining of the end. Kicking Jimmy Chamberlain out of the band sealed that fate. Zwan was amazing. Too bad they couldn't keep it together.

  4. lemontwist says I know I shouldn't ever be upset that I'm young (and I'm not), but I'm still disappointed that I was (and still am) too young to have ever seen most of my favorite bands live, or at their prime. The Pumpkins may be releasing a new album, but they'll never be the same. Layne Staley is dead so I have to make do seeing Alice In Chains without him. Screaming Trees and Soundgarden broke up almost 10 years ago. Okay, enough of my grumbling. :) Siamese Dream is a killer album, I also love Pisces and Gish. Mellon Collie has some amazing tracks, but I hate how much fluff is on that album. It was one of the first in my collection, though.

  8. haggardpilot says SP got me through my adolescence, formative teenage years, and early twenties. without them I would not be who I am and not have made any of the major life decisions I made in the last 10 years. and I'm not even exaggerating for effect! that was always one of my favorite pics. you are a saint for postining these tracks.

  10. king of gloom says It might sound stupid.. but I love all the albums. I'm a little young to have appreciate them in their Siamese Dream days but I had a chance to go see the last tour...It sucked soooooo bad because i was in the hospital.. but oh well.. I can not wait to see them!!!!
