i got some bad news. i just heard that electrelane, one of my favorite bands is about to take an indefinite hiatus.
"we have decided that the upcoming gigs will be our last for the foreseeable future" says their myspace page, so if you live in europe, please, see them for me.
it hurts when beloved bands break. can't they just stay together? maybe if i stomp strong and clap like a fool they'll come back on?

bummer. I never did get a chance to see them live. they were due to come through Ohio as a headliner and then a certain band called the Arcade Fire snapped them up as an opener.
Maybe they'll come back better than ever after some time off.

hey pat! yea, i didn't get to see them live either. i am really bummed about that. electrelane is... er, _was_ one of those bands. you know, that every single song you like in some way. i got the lyrics, the sound, the style. i really hope they have their babies or whatever and do what they got to do to come back revitalized.
walkingthecow, that does suck! that happened to me with the delgados. wooo! i thought i found a great new band that i could sink my teeth into and then whoops, there they went. however, emma pollock does have a solo career...
