WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

happy trails to you blair.

at this moment i am listening to "henry and kevin's":http://mog.com/Rawkkiddo/blog_post/85771#commentssend-off song for blair. the humanity here at mog! how very beautiful. how very thoughtful. all three of you rock.it reminds me of my traveling adventures. personally, i have "up and left" four times that i can count since i was eighteen. i can identify with the hope of the grass being greener. perpetually _unsatisfied_ with my situations. my story starts with nyc, then cork, then key west and now atlanta. i finally am allowing myself to become rooted and that, in itself, is what petrifies me the most. actually, that is presently what i am struggling with. however, those fears, where ever they may stem from, are the lust of life. you gain perspective by pushing yourself into unknown situations and realize that you can control your mind (and not always your environment.) you learn to identify the fear, realize there is a natural rhythm, and change in whatever form, is inevitable. there is no better time than now.and support is always a phone call away.good luck to you blair, and i hope LA realizes how very lucky it is to have you.i am incapable of writing a song for you but i can upload. "travel out west, the future's blessed..."p.s. please tell beck i love him

  7. Me and the Horse I Rode In On says I moved last year........but living in Denmark means moving no more than 200 miles from home. I really need to move to Canada. I agree with you on this one. One of the better things about getting older is that I now take action instead of look for action. That way it doesn't really matter where I live. Yes........that was bullshit. I know. CANADA HERE I COME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. kaleef says sam, interesting coincidence. didn't they get some heat about their "ironic" name after boris died? and i have yet to see them live. would be a treat indeed~ henry, haha, was that bullshit? noooooo... canada, here he comes, aye? well, i do agree with you. if i had another chance (and who knows, maybe i do...) i would be hi-tailing it somewhere in that oregon, washington, b.c. area. the most beautiful country. isn't it just?

  9. Me and the Horse I Rode In On says Well...........I've never been but when I close my eyes the place looks beautiful. I have songs working their way to B.C. right now. A guy will be sitting in his studio mixing and mastering...........so somehow I have been to Canada.

  10. kristiana says Great post, K! As I've said before, that migration instinct is closer to the surface in some of us. I'm always happiest when in motion - and it's not because the grass is greener, it's just wonderful to experience life from the perspective of others. When it comes down to it, people are pretty much the same the world over. And yet we learn so much in all the different little details. Life's a rich freakin' pageant eh? :) And maybe there is a grand plan in all this, and our yearning for those distant shores is just part of our story interwoven with the stories of future friends and loves. Not to get mystical on yo ass! :) Someone had to leave Africa originally, right? Was it just because of resources, population pressure, etc.? Or were some of those travelers dreamers? I'm sure it was both. I'm in the same situation as you right now, kinda. In a way I can't believe I'm here in my hometown for 2 more years. I have no idea where I'll head after that, which is kind of exciting but also kinda frustrating. I want it now! I've been back from Thailand for 4 years already (this is very hard to believe), and in this town for 3. Too long!

  11. Jammy Jeff says Great post. It's interesting to read about people who have the courage and conviction to up sticks and start again. I've travelled a lot over the years, but for some reason I'm a home boy, and always come wandering back to my birthplace.

  12. gerekriss says I do not know Blair (guessing that is Tony Blair). the relocation is always intense even i went thru that process many times. I've been back from SF for 3 years; staying in Thailand for 5 years already and will move to Cambodia next month. I'm touching when seeing picture, movie, and all things related to SF (such a beautiful city, indeed). I guess when i'm in Combodia, i will admire my hometown (Thailand) more than i feel now.
