This song has been stuck in my head for days now.

If anyone is looking for a new song or artist to check out, I highly reccomend this song by Amos Lee. I can't get it out of my head. I've been humming at at work and singing it when I'm alone. His music is very mellow, bluesy and simple, and his style of singing is incredibly melodic. I've got another favorite to add to the list. :)"Keep It Loose, Keep It Tight"Well I walked over the bridgeInto the city where I live,And I saw my old landlord.Well we both said hello,There was no where else to go,'cuz his rent I couldn't afford.Well relationships change,Oh I think it's kinda strange,How money makes a man grow. Some people they claim,If you get enough fame,You live over the rainbow.Over the rainbow..But the people on the street,Out on buses or on feet,We all got the same blood flow.Oh, in society,Every dollar got a deed,We all need a place so we can go,And feel over the rainbow. But sometimes,We forget what we got,Who we are.Oh who are are not.I think we gotta chance,To make it right.Keep it loose,Keep it tight.Keep it tight.I'm in love with a girl,Who's in love with the world,Though I can't help but follow.Though I know some day,She is bound to go away,And stay over the rainbow.Gotta learn how to let her go.Over the rainbow.Sometimes we forget who we got,Who they are.Oh, who they are not. There is so much more in love,Than black and white.Keep it loose child,Gotta keep it tight.Keep it loose child,Keep it tight.Keep it tight,Keep it tight,Yaa..When asked about the pressure of releasing his sophmore album (Supply and Demand, came out this year), he explained: "People are always asking what's next, but as a songwriter it can be a bit troubling to get too far ahead of yourself. Most of my life these days is spent either performing songs I've already written, thinking about songs that are half finished, or starting new tunes. I'm aware of people's expectations, but my job is to serve the song, and that's what I focus on."Well he serves the song quite well :) Not to mention he's adoreable.

  3. SamTheButcher says Amos Lee is one of my new discoveries. Saw an Austin City Limits with him and loved it. Was *so* glad that "Night Train" was included on his new album. Saw a review that suggested that that one might be his signature song. I like all of his stuff so far. I'll be greedy and say that I'm looking forward to more!

  4. k8girl says Oh Truth, if he's coming to your city... GO. I'm sick that I missed the first part of his tour. I'm willing to bet he made a stop in Orlando or close by and I had no idea. Bummer!

  6. rgrwill says I love Amos Lee's music. He used to tend bar at The Tin Angel in Philly while he was coming up. Served me drinks while I listened to the likes of Freedy Johnston, Richard Julian, Ben Arnold, Amy Correia. He even played with Amy once. Real nice guy. Real good singer. Exciting to see him doing so well!

  7. k8girl says rgrwill... I had no idea he used to bartend. What a neat little tidbit, and what a sweet thing to know an artist before they were successful!
