Okay, let's try this again, it went really well last time. You know the drill: I post a photo and you help me build a mix around that photo.

I got this photo from a magnificent online collection of found photographs called Square America.

I'll get us started with a song. My pick is Nick Drake's 'Fly' (from Time of No Reply).

Here are some lyrics for Fly:

Please give me a second grace Please give me a second face I've fallen far down The first time around Now I just sit on the ground in your way Now if it's time for recompense for what's done Come, come sit down on the fence in the sun And the clouds will roll by And we'll never deny It's really too hard for to fly.

Not sure why this song came to mind, but "Watching Xanadu" by Mull Historical Society.

I'll check both of these out. Michael, don't worry about the lyrics. The posting the lyrics bit can be unwieldy. I only posted the Drake lyrics because I couldn't post the song. In fact, let me add to anybody listening: don't post full lyrics. YouTube clips are great. A verse or a chorus or something...no problem. No full lyrics. Thanks!

She might think that I've forgotten her, don't tell her it isn't so.

We had a falling-out, like lovers often will And to think of how she left that night, it still brings me a chill And though our separation, it pierced me to the heart She still lives inside of me, we've never been apart.

-"If You See Her, Say Hello", Dylan

oh hold for the last time, then slip away, quietly. Open my eyes but i never see anything.

if only i had thought of the right words i could have hold on to your heart if only i'd thought of the right words i wouldn't be breaking apart all my pictures of you -"Pictures Of You", The Cure

Kristiana...you nailed it. Thanks! And Ryan Adams...of course! This is going well. Meanwhile, I am lost in the universe of found photograph sites.

Because of her face issue- I would say "Blister in the Sun" by the Violent Femmes

If her face was not "blistered" I would say "My Funny Valentine" by Stan Getz. Because don't you think that some nice man out there, just loved her to pieces?

The black and white aspect of this makes that photo profound enough that I'd rather compare it with an emotion; How about 'greed'?

Greed is fine. Give me a song!

Kate and missjunk...nice work!

People Take Pictures of Each Other by The Kinks seems like a hilarious fit to me.

People take pictures of the summer

just in case someone thought they had missed it and to prove that they really existed

Or, is there some kind of Wonder Woman theme song to go with that sweet belted outfit?

Nice one, Cody B. This game is addictive. I'm sorry I missed the last one. A few more:

- I'll Send My Face to Your Funeral, by His Name Is Alive (maybe _that's_ what she did with it...)

- We Will Become Silhouettes (if you're as sick of the original as I am, there is a cover by The Shins)

- Dead Faces by Okkervil River (the lyrics are a less direct fit, being about a photo of a couple, but the mood is pretty right-on)

You're not too late. I figure I'll keep this going for one more day. Gives me lots to choose from.

How about...

"Flip Your Face" - Contortions "Your Pretty Face Is Going To Hell" - Stooges

That's all I got right now. I'll think of another dozen by this time tomorrow.

I've been waiting for you, Presley. The Contortions. Nice. The Stooges song, also nice.
