  1. kristiana says Hey, cool! Well, I've got a couple of posts on my page (page 1&2) about listening to records with my favorite little boy: "Tales Of A Two-Year Old Radiohead Fan" (page 1) and "He Likes Me, He Likes Me!" (page 2). People have debated back and forth about whether vinyl is a thing of the past, that people should embrace the future, blah blah. To them I say - these stories about having fun with a child illustrates something of what I mean about the ritual of pulling out the vinyl. These stories would not be the same at all if I were talking about cds! While I watch Colm become engrossed in an album cover, and then it turn out he likes the band too, well, I know he'll probably remember these moments we spent together and it will add that extra dimension of meaning to bands he may end up loving. I know I remember these same sorts of moments from my childhood. cheers!

NeilNathan says you guys don't know how good you had it ;) donna summer bad girls, saturday night fever and sean cassidy da doo run run were gracing my youthful turn table and then a teenage family friend turned my impressionable 6 year old ears on to Hotel California during the same period that my babysitter donated KISS Alive II to the cause
