Mogger, what is new?

Hey old friends. Just because I'm not posting don't think I'm not around. Sometimes I lurk. There, I said it.

I want to know what you're listening to right now and anything else you think I ought to know.

I'll start...

I'm listening to Califone today. All day. The occasion? They're playing for free tonight at the Walker Art Center for free--followed by a screening of the Manchurian Candidate. Fabulous.

My news? I quit my full-time reporting job, but not before I started a profile of Dillinger Four. I heard the rough mixes of their new record (six years in the making) over the weekend. It's every bit the thing you probably want it to be (if you want it at all).

So I'm freelancing again--which means a lot of work and a lot of fretting. It also means a lot of freedom. I'm back at my blog, The Forest of Things. Please don't be a stranger!
