It appears that while I was in NYC yesterday the astro-porn continued unabated (see here, here, and here for all the background):

Slate offers a new Explainer answering the question "have people had sex in space", which was my first lascivious thought when I saw this story (the answer, by the way, is "probably"). What is it with sex and space?

As an early fan of The Streets, Dizzee Rascal, and pretty much any interesting hip-hop rolling out of the UK, I was pleased as spiked punch to learn of Jamie T. (another great VSL find). I don't cotton to the label of "the next Eminem" (sounds more like early G Love), but I definitely think I'm going to be dancing to this:

and definitely this:

I actually wish Ennio Morricone had scored the intro to "Salvador". Who knows? Maybe he did.

Sweet. I just put Jamie T's new album, "Panic Prevention" on "the list." Check back with me for a copy.

Oh! I like this. I don't think he sounds like either Eminem or G.Love - but if I had to choose, you are right. Closer to G.Love.

Here I was this morning wondering whether anyone at NASA had contemplated procreating in space, and CNN.com delivers an answer:

A judge today granted bail to a NASA astronaut charged with pepper-spraying a romantic rival before attempting to kidnap her from an airport parking lot. Navy Capt. Lisa Marie Nowak, who was a crew member of the space shuttle Discovery last year, and Colleen Shipman both were reportedly "in a relationship" with shuttle pilot Bill Oefelein.

Remember when all they had to worry about was O-rings and heat shields?

UPDATE: She'll be charged with attempted murder, all over this guy:

Lifetime and SciFi should team up on it... maybe make it a "Footballers Wives" sort of mini-series.

Great minds, I suppose...
