Probably the greatest non-rock soundtrack I have ever heard. It is a different type of music, not really sure what to call most of it. I can't stop listening to it.

Seether before Seether. This album was only released in South Africa so it is hard to find, I am ordering mine soon. The versions of the tracks sound different on this album than they did on Disclaimer. A lot of comparison to the later Nirvana sound and the vocals from Morgan sound a lot like Kurt's. Limewire had a few of the songs available for pirating, I suggest checking them out.

Not making any promises, but it's my time to go for a bit, so this is the last post of the night for me. I don't know how the rest of you feel but I like this band, they have a lot of potential and can sometimes rock out. I haven't gotten a chance to see them live, if any of you have... are they any good? Seem to be from this video, but who knows?

I don't exactly remember when or how I heard this song, but it had been a couple of years since I had heard it, when I thought of it this summer. I have a weird taste in music and it jumps around from genre to genre, I like this song so enjoy.

My friend Justin and I spent close to a month searching for the name of this song and/or the person who sang it. All we knew were the lyrics; I've got this time on my hands and I've finally found a reason. Not too much to go off of, and was hard as fuck for us. It was 2004 and I knew of Google, my new personal assistant, but it wasno use. We eventually called a couple of radio stations before we finally found out the title and artist. Anywho here is the video, which is most bad ass by the way.

Now for one of my favorite songs of.... yeah, I just like the song. I had never heard this version before, they say it's the one that Travis Meeks wanted to be on the album or the whole band, something like that. Enjoy.

It's going to be a long night filled with a few more posts, boredom has kicked in out here in Baghdad. How great is this song? Nosey... yeah that guy rocks. This song makes me start sidancing when I hear it, I'm too lazy and wouldn't be right to stand up and dance so I just remain seated.

No wonder I can't keep a girlfriend, I act like Nick from this first video. Maybe I will learn one day... let them decide to love me, I can't make them... or can I? Underrated and unheard of by many, but yet another great '90s band.

I heard the song "Save Yourself" on a preview for The Convenant, how many soundtracks has this song been on now? Both are great songs, just like most of their songs. Enjoy.

I sometimes find myself listening to Eddie Murphy's "Delirious", I say listen because it is on my computer, and I don't have the video. While listening, I find myself thinking, "you one funny motherfucker, Eddie." Anyway, I can't stop wondering why he decided to sing. This first video with Michael Jackson is just a great video, but why is he doing his Stevie Wonder impression the entire time? "That shit ain't funny, motherfucker."

You wanna play it safe,
Don't wanna step out.
You gotta pretend so no one finds out.
You gotta break free,
You gotta break out
So everyone knows what you're all about.

Don't be afraid to be the one to start it up,
It's a party, once you turn it on it's hard to turn it off.
Listen to the music,
Turn it up, let it go.
Take it in until you feel it take control.

Nobody dances anymore,
Nobody takes chances anymore.

My last comment lead me into thinking about this band. I enjoy just sitting back and listening to some Collective Soul from time to time. This song is from one of my favorite movies too, great all around song, good for one of those mellow moods. Here is another video I found while looking for this one, another great song by these guys. They don't even need an audience they just rock out wherever, here is "The World I Know".

This song takes me back, to a field problem we had back in Feburary of 2005. We had roving guard in three hour shifts and it was cold as fuck. I would walk around with my mp3 player in one ear(which I just happened to buy for one week and then return to the store, a little trick I have picked up) and listen to this song along with Muse's "Hysteria" and "Time Is Running out", over and over. From the first time I heard this song I was hooked and got my hands on their second album We Are Not Alone, since being over here Phobia their third album has been released, I have acquired all three of them. From Saturate to Phobia this is a great band, not a lot of people on here are listening to them. It is mog so I will suggest, if not all three alteast check out some of their work, you won't be disappointed....unless you listen to the song "Rain", it's kind of lame. Well, enough trying to push this band on you, enjoy the video, I threw in "Polyamorous" so you could get a better feel of the band, if you hadn't heard anything from their first album. A few must downloads in my opinion are "Forget It" - not so much a rocking out song, but not a bad song. "Medicate", "Unknown Soldier", "Evil Angel", "Away", okay I will stop there, I could go on and on. I like every song I have heard except for the aforementioned song "Rain".
"Polyamorous"

Touching....really.

I would like to think the reason I like this band is because Mike Score and I used to share the same hairstyle, but I would be lying if I didn't say it's the music. I have only heard there singles and most popular-ish songs, but I have liked everything I have heard. "I Ran (So Far Away)" was the song that pushed me over the edge and head first into the world of the New Wave era, before I just teased a little, but after I heard that song I was hooked. This is a good video, nothing too snazzy or eye catching except the way their bass player dances back and forth throughout the entire video.

I got this video off of a CD-R that a friend of mine got from a Turkish store. The CD had about 50 or so music videos on it, great compilation of music. It had a little bit of everything, from Effiel 65 to Metallica, Creamy to A Perfect Circle, and Bon Jovi to Rammstein. Gotta love people from Turkey. I don't know if it is the song or just looking at Sophie Ellis Bextor, that is one sexy sexy woman.... no it's a mixture of the two.

Another wonderful They Might Be Giants song, just check out this video and those lyrics.

I'm your only friend
I'm not your only friend
But I'm a little glowing friend
But really I'm not actually your friend
But I am

Blue canary in the outlet by the light switch
Who watches over you
Make a little birdhouse in your soul
Not to put too fine a point on it
Say I'm the only bee in your bonnet
Make a little birdhouse in your soul

I have a secret to tell
From my electrical well
It's a simple message and I'm leaving out the whistles and bells
So the room must listen to me
Filibuster vigilantly
My name is blue canary one note* spelled l-i-t-e
My story's infinite
Like the Longines Symphonette it doesn't rest

Blue canary in the outlet by the light switch
Who watches over you
Make a little birdhouse in your soul
Not to put too fine a point on it
Say I'm the only bee in your bonnet
Make a little birdhouse in your soul

I'm your only friend
I'm not your only friend
But I'm a little glowing friend
But really I'm not actually your friend
But I am

There's a picture opposite me
Of my primitive ancestry
Which stood on rocky shores and kept the beaches shipwreck free
Though I respect that a lot
I'd be fired if that were my job
After killing Jason off and countless screaming Argonauts
Bluebird of friendliness
Like guardian angels its always near

Blue canary in the outlet by the light switch
Who watches over you
Make a little birdhouse in your soul
Not to put too fine a point on it
Say I'm the only bee in your bonnet
Make a little birdhouse in your soul

(and while you're at it
Keep the nightlight on inside the
Birdhouse in your soul)

Not to put too fine a point on it
Say I'm the only bee in your bonnet
Make a little birdhouse in your soul

Blue canary in the outlet by the light switch (and while you're at it)
Who watches over you (keep the nightlight on inside the)
Make a little birdhouse in your soul (birdhouse in your soul)

Not to put too fine a point on it

Always searching, but for what?

I spent years searching for this song, all I had was the sound. I could hear the way he sang the words in my mind, but I couldn't make them out. I finally found it by mistake one day, I almost didn't even recognize it. I was in the gym about a month or so ago and I heard The Offspring playing, as the next song came on I was barely paying attention. If I wouldn't of stopped doing what I was doing for a second it would've passed me by. I am glad I found it, I really enjoy this song and the video is badass.

Candlebox is a good band, I have only heard their first album and bits and pieces of the other two. I forgot about the release of the compilation earlier this year, I will have to get that. This song reminds me of Breaktime, a pool hall back home. Me and my friends would go out there every chance we got. I loved it there, the shitty thing was I could only play a good game of pool while stoned. We would play songs from the jukebox all night long, I would always play this song. I don't know why, but it was my pool playing song. Nowadays, I like to kick things over when it gets to the rock out part, the swearing kicks it off. I have to say though, that from what I have heard, "Cover Me" is my favorite song by Candlebox.

While on my '90's kick I am came across this melancholy little song. I had almost forgotten about it, even though I have it on my computer. The band itself has gone through changes over the years, only the lead singer and the drummer have stuck through it all. Like many other bands, I have not heard much if any more of their songs. I know that I like this one though, and that is all that matters to me. Video is kind of nice too, I like a good sad song every once and a while.

1994, was a year in which we lost a musical genius, that was never even fully tapped. Atleast the alternative rock era was still going strong and good music was still being produced. Stone Temple Pilots came out with "Big Empty" for the move The Crow. Beck had what I think was his best song "Loser". One of my personal favorites, "The Sign" by Ace Of Base came out. With those I have mentioned who could forget Live "Lightning Crashes", this song is wonderful. A little change in the line-up but Live is still around today, I haven't heard anything by them since this album but they might be good today, who knows?

2003...

This song reminds me of my happiest moment of 2003, finally ending a brutal relationship with my now 2 times over ex-girlfriend. I would drive about 30-40 minutes to work each night, I worked midnights. I had this song on a mixed CD that I had made. It was my favorite off of the whole CD, the CD also contained songs by Matchbox Twenty, Three Doors Down, and many others that I cannot remember. The only reason I remember those two is because of Matchbox Twenty's "Bright Lights", I believe that is also a great song. I was listening to Three Doors Down "Here Without You", during my wreck on the parkway. I apparently fell asleep and ran into a guardrail doing about 75 mph. It was an alright experience, I had a new silver racing stripe down the Animul. You see, I switched the lettering on my Lumina to make Animul, I thought it was a good idea, the woman that bought the car, however did not.

Every since I heard the song "Hate Me", I have been fascinated by this band. To come from such a shitty place like Texas amazes me. I'm not sorry if I offend any of you Texas loving texans, I hate that place. Anyway, this is not about my hatred for Texas or it being a barren waste land of unusable space. It is about Blue October and how much I enjoy listening to them, "X Amount of Words" has to be my favorite song by them. I really enjoy all of the songs that I have heard, some of my other favorites include "A Quiet Mind", "Everlasting Friend", "Weight Of The World", and "Razorblade". Those aren't the only songs that are awesome, I just don't have the motivation to write the rest out, all around I think this is a great band.

This song and band was brought to my attention by a friend of mine named Emily. Thinking of her reminds me of a time when life seemed simple, a time when I was high. I don't know much of the bands background, but what I have heard I have liked. I have a few songs by Blindside if you would like to listen to any of them.

Once again not sure why I enjoy a band like this, but I have something for The Cranberries. This song has great lyrics and an alright sound. Some other songs that I like from The Cranberries are "Zombie", "Linger", "Just My Imagination", and who could forget "Salvation". While searching for this video I found two, the other is very good also. It features Islamic ninjas, trees, and a horse....

Every since catching this video on VH1 Classics sometime around 2000 or 2001, I have searched everything I could to find it, earlier this year I discovered how badass youtube really is. The band itself is quite amazing, I enjoy a few songs by them, that is a rare occurence when talking about a band from the '80s. The video keeps me mezmerized and the lyrics keep me thinking. Oh how I wish I could've been around in the '80s, my wardrobe would resemble something from this video. Talk Talk had their hit "It's My Life" redone by No Doubt a few years back, I believe they did a much better job, Talk Talk that is. I also enjoy the songs "Renee", "Talk Talk", and "Life's What You Make It".

The '80s have always been a part of my music collection. Highly influenced by VH1 Classics and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. There is just something about this genre that intrigues me. If I were to pick a favorite '80s song, this would be it. Even though you cannot understand the lyrics, it is still a great song, and tells of the life of Amadeus. It is a good song to listen to and you can learn something from it, it's win-win! While on the topic of Falco we cannot forget "Der Kommissar", and those filthy one-hit wonderers After The Fire's version. Falco was widely known around the lands and has had much posthumous fame.

Another one-hit wonder, this time bearing the name "Your Woman" by White Town. Jyoti Mishra you have been trying since 1990, keep it up! I don't remember the first time I heard this song, but I know it will forever be a part of me. This song was brought back into my life sometime around the middle of this year, thanks to you Friedman. The song itself has a very rhythmic groove and the vocals are somewhat euphoric. The video tells a wonderful tale, too bad I don't know what tale that is. All together, this is a very good song. I don't know why, but I am drawn to it.
