WHERE THE HOKEY POKEY "IS" WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT

Johnny Lokke's Metal Reviews - Warrant - Born Again

Posted over 2 years ago
I just received a promo copy of the new Warrant cd “Born Again”. Now I wasn’t a big Warrant fan in the 80’s, as they were a bit too poppy for me, but I did dig the band Black N Blue, and now that Warrant have Jamie St. James (ex-Black N Blue) singing for them, I was anxious to check it out. I’m glad I did, as it takes the catchiness (is that a word?) of Warrant with the heavier edge and better (in my opinion) writing of BNB and is actually a really good cd. It’s obvious the band have found a hunger again, and the songs have a bit of a piss and vinegar feel to them. Joey Allen and Erik Turner lay down some pretty good riffs. With summer upon us, this is a roll-the-windows-down-turn-it-up-to-11 type of feel-good cruising music.
