Frank Sinatra really did it on this one. Heartbreak and loneliness has rarely sounded this cool.

  1. max says mainly due to my mom i've been listening to the Frank Sinatra XM channel for like 2 weeks, nothing but Sinatra 24 hours a day, I've been so thoroughly exposed!

  3. redtunictroll says "In the Wee Small Hours" gets a lot of attention, but the emotional follow-on, 1957's "Where Are You?" is easily as effective. "Where Are You?" was overshadowed by the ring-a-ding-ding sizzle of "Come Fly With Me" and "A Swingin' Affair" (also both worth hearing), but Gordon Jenkins' arrangements, first-for-Sinatra stereo recording, and brilliant vocal performances make this a key album in the master's catalog.
