Dirty Little Rabbits

http://www.myspace.com/dirtylittlerabbitsWhen it comes to the in-stores that we have at the store I work for, it all seems to be the same crap, bleeding all into one emofest. [band name witheld] was the band the other night, and it was fucking hilarious. The lead singer was so FULL OF HIMSELF, I had to hide behind the counter because I was literally ROTFLMAO. Saying things like, "We're really coming into our own with this new CD, and I think this is the finest stuff we've ever done, and we're saying so much with our music, BLAAH BLAH BLAH." Yeah, that's why your stuff seems to appeal to bratty 14 year-old girls, mused co-worker Coleen so astutely. *hi-fives* But that's not what I wanted to really post about. The night BEFORE, we had Dirty Little Rabbits at the store. Go on to that link. M. Shawn Crahan: Drumset EEEYUP. Clown from Slipknot. There were only about 20-25 people there. AND THEY FUCKING ROCKED. SRSLY. Like, I havent been this impressed with an in-store since, say, Moe? And they arent my type of music. Not a fan of Slipknot (just like "Wait & Bleed"), but Shawn/Clown just tore shit up with the drums. Stella the lead singer also tore shit up vocally. AAAND the rest of the band as well. Kinda alternative rock/hard rock. I was severely disappointed that I forgot to bring my new video camera. And even though there weren't many people there to see them, they still played like there were 2000 people there. They all had a great attitude, really friendly and gracious and thankful! As opposed to the onslaught of the other bands that are so full of themselves, that it amazes me that these EmoCrapBands have fans. The lead singer was so happy that this was her first in-store that I gave her posters that were made for the event (real cutie BTW). This is a band, whether or not you were a big fan of the music, could root for. I hope they get real popular. Go seem 'em live, they're opening for Stonesour. BUY THEIR CD. Give 'em yer support. The music industry needs more bands like this.
