Hug a bass player today...

You know, singers get lots of good props.Guitar players get lots of press.Even some drummers (on occasion) get a little respect.But, have you hugged a bass player today?Essential to almost any music, always there to keep the beat, set the key, keep you moving forward...The next time you have a conversation with a friend, mention your favorite bass player...

    atman says great sentiment. I get so tired of seeing recorded live video performances of bands, only to almost never see the bass player. Like they're an afterthought. Imagine any of your favorite rock bands without a freakin' bass player.

    mousetrap says Yes, by all means hug a bass player. They typically don't get anywhere near the attention they deserve. HOWEVER...if you're a musician playing anything other than jazz and your bassist feels compelled to play a chord, cuff him soundly on the back of the head.
