WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Been busy lately sorry so quiet... - so what do you think about John Bonham?

If I were ever to be a percussionist/drummer, there's one pinnacle for me to emulate:John Bonham.Boundless energy, bottomless well of variation and rhythm, and as expressive as a drummer has ever been... Of course there are others who are good - across many genres and ages... but John's style, prowess, and execution have not been rivaled (for me, at least). His son's awesome, too!

  1. kat3260 says John Bonham is up there, but Keith Moon is the penultimate drummer to me. But obviously, "Moby Dick" - c'mon, best drum solo of all time? right? Also, Danny Carey (of Tool) is my current drum hero. Honorable mentions for Dead drummers Kreutzmann & Hart as well.

  2. jimmybearpearson says Keith Moon... now there's someone who was more comfortable on a drum set than a monkey in a tree. He was a natural, for sure. Danny does rock, too.

  4. bubb says You can't forget Billy Cobham from the Mahavishnu Orchestra. One of the greatest drummers of all time.
