I am being haunted, I swear I am. I am not imagining this.

So, in my last post I mentioned Hold On Loosely and how it was stuck in my head. My friend Paul, who had the same song stuck in his head. Well, I need to go on a tangent here. I work with Paul, we work at a Tech type company and they play 'classic rock' on the in house music system. It is all they play. Some really great stuff and not so really great stuff. They do play Hold On Loosely at work. Paul will call my phone and leave minutes long messages with songs he hears on radio. He did it with Stranglehold by Ted Nugent and a few others. He knows that I can't delete the message before it is over because I am a bit OCDish at times. So, yesterday, I wake up and put on VH1 classic and they play Hold On Loosely. I am really thinking this is strange. My phone rings, it is Paul. I say hello and he says, 'Shit I wanted to leave you a message, Hold On Loosely is playing right now'. This is just too much. What did I ever do to .38 Special? I don't dislike them. I don't really like them either. But there is much worse. Like most of what is on the pop charts today is WAY WORSE. But, please, I beg of you .38 Special, leave me alone.

  1. Takeshi Kovacs says Don't perpetuate the madness, try bombarding each other with music other than .38 special and for GOD's sake, stay away from the radio! It will rot your mind, as is evident in your posts. :)

  2. jimbaetz says I don't send music back to him. I just send explative loaded text messages. I don't really listen to the radio, except NPR. Paul needs a CD player for his car. Perhaps that would be an ideal gift......., yes, I think it would be. I can't really get away from the music at work. It goes from Led Zep, to .38 Special, to The Who to The Outlaws, to The Zombies, to ..... you get the idea. We even get to hear Freebird. Yes, FREEBIRD.
