My first-ever full-length article ran in Philadelphia Weekly today...about Bardo Pond, the long-running Philly-based psych-drone-folk-whatever collective whose Ticket Crystals, out this year on All Tomorrow's Parties, is the kind of record words like "mind-blowing" was invented for.
Here's a link to the article...which was source of much angst about two weeks ago and almost didn't happen.

There's one Bardo song on my 2006 mix, which can be accessed at:
Oh, and they seem to have mixed up the graphics...the band in the photo is Spinto Band, also quite good but a whole 'nother story.
Now I've interviewed all but two of my top ten bands for the year (and I did Oneida last year and Califone two years ago).

Great to see 'em still going, I dropped off the radar (rather than them), as was a big collector of Drunken Fish Records releases and I mind Bardo Pond appearing on a couple.
Must see how they've developed over the years.

NICE! congrats on a big day for you! (great opening line, btw)
My Trusted MOGs
I will never get over how nice the people on MOG are.
Thank you so much...and please check out Bardo Pond if you like heavy psyche/folk stuff. There are a whole bunch of live recordings of the band at
