  2. DerekSunshine says Wow, that sounds like an awesome line-up. Definitely wear ear plugs though.

  3. jenny says Awesome? It's my two favorite bands! I was telling my son last night (who is sooo mad at me for going without him, BTW) that if they could get the Dirtbombs on the bill, I'd never have to go to a show again.

  6. jenny says I've actually got an extra guest spot if any of you lovely people are in Boston or nearby?

  8. jenny says Let's see, $20 free admission to show, $700 air fare...no I don't think it works economically, Michael. Even if I bought you a beer, which I definitely would. jk

  9. DUSTdevils says sad but true... there is also the time element, i feel like i'm cramming 3 lives into a single day at the mo'... which is not a bad thing...

  10. RobP says Jenny, I believe that's spelled WHOOO-HOOO! As for Michael's travel expenses, how much is it by magic bus?

  11. jenny says It's probably not that much more than from CA by magic bus...what's that running, Rob?

  12. essone says Have fun. On your recommendation I bought that new Mission of Burma record, and was not dissappointed.

  13. RobP says Haven't ridden in a while; used to be about 3 bucks a tab, major discount by the sheet. Which reminds me of a totally irrelevant Jerry Lee Lewis story. It was about 1961, and Jerry Lee and his band were flying in to California for some shows. Well, everyone knows this band really got loaded, so the cops are waiting at the airport. They bust em, and they find 150 hits of LSD: 100 for the Killer, and 50 for the band to split. But those are the only drugs the band was carrying, and acid wasn't illegal yet, so they had to let em go. Back to you, Jen. I gotta work all weekend, but if the magic bus does time travel I'll back to ya.

  14. DUSTdevils says Rob, i think i may have some of those somewhere... now let me see... aaah, it will be an interesting evening...

  15. jenny says Hmmm...sounds like I still have to go by myself. Which is fine, nothing new really. I've actually never taken acid...always afraid I'd be one of those people who never came back afterwards.

  16. DUSTdevils says i have, but not in a very, very long time... i remember it being rather fun tho'...

  17. jenny says I'm going to write more about this in a day or so, but for now: JESUS HOLY CHRIST!!! Burma is about 100% better than the last time I saw them two years ago (while they were working on the material for The Obliterati)...not tentative at all anymore, just one huge, complicated rock machine. Oneida was pretty great, too. What a night. jk
