And It Begins....Again...
Another winter break has passed, filled with lots of holiday cheer, old high school friends and their made-up stories of how amazing their semester was, and overall, a lot of downtime. Going back to classes always hits me like a ton of bricks - you have a ballpark idea of what to expect, but at the same time, the same amount of doubt and concern about what the new semester has in store. I've got some pretty exciting classes - French, Introduction to Fiction Literature, Political Science, and a handful of Geography classes (being my major) - but I hate the way they all appear to be such foreign ideas with foreign concepts. I know this will pass, as it has every year before that I've been in school, but it gives me a headache. On the positive side of things, I get to read some great novels, better my foreign language skills, debate with closed-minded conservatives, and get one step closer towards where I want to be. As for now, I'm off to smoke a bowl or three and read The Communist Manifesto.
