Been a While...
Wow, didn't realize how long it had been since I had been here. Since then, I have seen TV on the Radio, which were just phenomenal. See them if they come anywhere near you. Tunde Adebimpe was into the show, dancin around and that made it more fun for everybody. After the disappointment that was the Gomez show, this show totally lifted my spirits. Subtle opened for them. I had never heard of the band and although I found the lead singer to be quite into the performance part of their act, the music they played was enjoyable. His voice was a little whiny at times though. So the Modest Mouse and LCD albums are out...what's everybody think. I completely figured that the MM album would get trashed critically, just after the last album being so much of a mainstream success. We Were Dead... has been growing on me personally. I still enjoy Splitting Venom, Fire it Up, Steam Engenious and now Parting of the Sensory and a couple others are growing on me. I think my apprehension was based in the negative talks on the blogs prior to the album coming out. We will see how it does with time. LCD Soundsystem's new one is just solid though. Every song is great to me. I talked about this in an earlier post and some comments so I wont go in depth with it. Just pick it up if you get the chance. Share your thoughts on both albums, I'm interested to know how they are received.
