MUSIC SIGNPOSTS ON THE WEB'S LONELY ROAD

Artist:
(25)

Just a while ago, Franz Ferdinand posted a new song of theirs for a movie. Cleverly titled Hallam Foe, Dandelion Blow after the movie title, it's almost a waltz. Nothing you would expect from the guys who made the song, Take Me Out. Nick McCarthy and Alex Kapranos does the vocals in this song, but you sadly don't hear much of Bob Hardy or Paul Thomson. Kapranos was saying that they are being more experimental on their 3rd album. Maybe this is what they will sound like. I don't know...eh, but the track is pretty good. Bless them, considering Alex is helping the Cribs with their album and Paul and his wife, Ester had a kid recently.

My Of Montreal concert experience is coming up. Lonely, Dear is supporting. Of course this is going to be an excellent gig, but I know Pops is going to not like the music. Oh well, I'm still dragging him along. I heard from a few that Kevin Barnes usually puts on the same show over and over again. Good bye originality. I still think the gig would be fun and exciting.

The Thermals are coming to Cleveland too. I really want to see them, but I shall not go to too many gigs or Pop will be mad at me. The Shins released their 2nd leg tour schedule a day or two ago...not coming to Cleveland. :( Maybe they'll come in the summertime for Cleveland's music festival, the Kuyahoga which last year had the Flaming Lips, Death Cab for Cutie, The Hold Steady, and the Go! Team. Good lineup being that was the first year the music festival took place.

Bless, Jules
