You can complain all you want...You can talk shit all you want.....I think he's become a bloated, egocentric piece of shit, too, but Kanye owned the Grammys Sunday night.
His performance with Daft Punk was fucking cool, and it trumped Amy Winehouse and Feist to become the highlight of the night. Funny how he sorta embodies all that it wrong with the music industry while fighting so hard to bite the hand that feeds him, all at the same time.... hmm. Enjoy.

I have to say, that I don't agree. I sat watching with my wife and said, "makes you pine for the days of 2 turntables and a microphone..doesn't it?"
I will agree that Amy was just OK and Feist was a bit of a disappointment, so I guess you are right..He might have had the best performance..
I usually watch The G's but I usually don't like the performances.
Kanye is a "complicated man". He reminds me a lot of George Michael, a cat who wanted pop success (sales) while maintaining artistic integrity, along with critical acclaim and establishment awards without trading on pop images.

I think that, in retrospect, I "enjoyed" his performance because of Daft Punk. It was, for me, the most exciting performance of the night, but on a scale of 1 -10 it was probably a 6. He's great entertainment, though, and a lot of people love his music, but hate his arrogance. I personally think that Kanye deserves a literal slap in the face, because he needs to be brought down a couple more pegs, still.
