THE MUSIC BLOGGING HIVE MIND

Can I vent???

Posted over 2 years ago
Why is it that I can purchase an album, but I can't f**king listen to it?? Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals' latest CD is, overall, a very above average album, and I am happy I purchased it. With that being said, I can only listen to it on my home stereo. Not on my computer, therefore not on my IPod as well. Therefore, not in my car, because of my IPod. Therefore, as well, not at the gym. Therefore, never. Never do I get to listen to it. Never, Ben. So what did I give you my 15.99 for??? To listen to the CD on my stereo in my bedroom as I'm falling asleep? That's the only time I'm there. Ben, I agree with your beliefs on copyright infringement and your music being 'stolen' and all. But when you're restricting your fan base from actually _LISTENING_ to YOUR music, then your beliefs start to become unreasonable and detrimental. Do I have to re-purchase your album on ITunes, just so I can have the privelidge of LISTENING to it??? This sucks.(disclosure. The album is a 2 CD set and disc one uploads to computers but disc two does not, and, in fact, makes a grinding noise when in my drive...).

  4. jameson says That would be terible if i got a lemon. And I considered that. But in doing an internet search, I found several complaints about the same thing. If I'm wrong, then I got hosed.
