The Grateful Dead - 4/8/1972 Wembley Empire Pool

Posted about 1 year ago
Nothing says spring like a fine, fine Dead show. 4/8/72 Wembley, England . 36 years ago yesterday, The Grateful Dead kicked off their legendary Europe 72 tour in England. This show has been getting quite a bit of play round here this week. Listen to the Dark Star from this show(hear it on the cd "Steppin Out..."), and you'll get a sense as to why so many people followed this damn band across the lands for so long. Can I use the word 'legendary' more than once in a post? good.Set List:BerthaMe and My UncleMr. CharlieDealBlack Throated WindNext Time You See MeCumberland BluesBrown Eyed WomenBeat it on Down the LineTennessee JedPlaying in the BandGood Lovin'Looks Like RainCasey JonesTruckin'Hurts Me TooDark StarSugar MagnoliaCautionOne More Saturday Night

  3. jameson says really??? I messed up the songs or my tags are wrong (either is likely). Sorry folks.... and I wish I could post the Dark Star, but it's a wee bit too long at 32 minutes....

  5. Jonh Ingham says I was at one of these shows. Definitely sounded better after we walked out under the bleachers and smoked a joint. Couldn't begin to tell you the set list but after they warmed up the second half was fantastic.
