Cocaine in popular music, #2 "Cocaine Blues"

Posted over 2 years ago
"Cocaine Blues" is a song written by TJ Arnall, a reworking of the traditional song "Little Sadie". This song was originally recorded by Roy Hogsed around the time Johnny Cash was born as well as by Woody Guthrie, but Cash popularized the song. The song is the tale of a man who shoots his wife to death while under the influence of whiskey and cocaine. There are so many notable versions of this song (as y'all know...), like "Nick Drake's":http://hypem.com/search/drake%20cocaine%20blues/1/but today I leave you with one of my favorites:Hank III doin' Johnny's version:
