Memphis Ryan Adams show review..?

Did anyone happen to be at the Memphis show last nite [the 12th] to see Ryan Adams? My friend who was there (i didn't quite have the funds to drive the 4-5 hours over and pay for a ticket in too)said that it was a very bad show- he came in drunk (now that's a shock) and didn't even stand up for most of the show, along with not even saying anything to the audience when he came out or anything. New Paramore and their look
almost 5 years ago

Ok, this is just based on the promophotos that I've seen so far, but since the new Paramore record has come out, they seem to have made Hayley more girly, wearing more make up and brigher colors and it just seems weird to me...from here to here. And this just bothers me. Seems kinda "Let's pretty her up and sell some more records". Maybe it's just me. I just felt like venting.

Texas: Day 3: Ryan Adams, the Alamo & MOJO

So. Today was the day and I did indeed pick up my copy of Easy Tiger, even though I had to buy it at Sam Goody and I really didn't enjoy having to do that (I wished I could've gotten across town to the indie store, but oh well. Hopefully I'll be going to a rad sounding vinyl hole in the wall type place tomorrow!).And my thoughts on the record? It's pretty good but sounds like his other records.

Texas: Day 2- ITunes

Finishing up the trek down today, we took a bit of a stop in New Orleans, had a short walk down by the river and then had way caffinated coffee and beignets and the original Cafe Du Monde. I was on a mission to find some true Nawlins accents there and it turns out all the folks working there, atleast the waitresses, are all Japanese. So much for my accent mission. But just driving thru the town an

Trip to Texas: Day 1- Making the mix

So the trip to San Antonio (atleast half way there today- stopping in Louisiana for the evening) is perfect reasoning for buying a new pack of cd-rs, especially since the car we’re in has a plug in so it seemed like a prime time to make a new mix, especially if I’m going to get to actually drive some of this trip. So alas, you lovely folks get to check out the run down of my mix, if you so wi

San Antonio..?

Anyone know of things going in the city of San Antonio, music wise or otherwise? I'm going on a family trip to the area soon and am quite excited about the historical stuff we're gonna check out, along with the record stores I've read up on so far. So yeah..any suggestions on things to do or places to see? OR- any suggestions on what to listen to/do on the FIFTEEN HOUR car ride (yes, one way. T
