    So I Kind of Disappared...

    Sorry I kind of disappeared there. Relatives, yard work and a self-advertising campaign has been preoccupying me of late. For most of that time, I actually became unhealthfully obsessed with the Miami Vice soundtrack, especially the King Britt track, "New World in My View." I might have to get that Sister Gertrude album...Anyway, most of those preoccupations are gone and so too is my Miami V...

    Miami Vice + Mogwai = Suprisingly Fit

    I'm surprised to report that after seeing "Miami Vice," Michael Mann's choice of Mogwai was impressively justified. The digital grit of dark Miami nights was complemented well by the soundscape rock of Mr. Beast. At first, I was (viciously) doubtful when I saw the soundtrack listing, but all of the music was quite good. Granted it seemed a little too good, as in some songs seemed placed ther...
