Why on earth does this song have a vocal? Does anyone else agree that the vocal, for the most part, serves to dumb down this otherwise fine song?

Spencer Owen says When I've skimmed Oneida's recordings, I've tended to feel that way. Seeing them live, the vocals were way buried and also added character, so they were a positive thing. On the recordings, they might do well to eliminate them.
