The latest release by Luke Doucet, a practitioner of fine aural addiction in the GWN. This has been in steady rotation in the Monastery, particularly in the Oda ....

http://www.lukedoucet.com/2010/e-lukedoucet.html

On Steel City Trawler, Luke Doucet turns to classic themes of place, love and the existential labyrinths of human understanding. With a tendency for total candor in both the personal and political, Luke navigates everyday life with finely honed senses of irony and skepticism. On Steel City Trawler, this signature grain-of-salt-seasoned songwriting comes to the fore. Mixed with atmospheric rock ballads, Manchester-esque melancholy, tender revelations and even more tender accusations, from start to finish the album is Luke's idea of a rock and roll record, pure and simple.

Likes her very much. Produces her Stranded in Suburbia. They admit they're dating.

At 35, moves with Melissa to Canada's steel capital, Hamilton Ontario, just across the bay from Burlington, where she grew up. Produces her 3rd album Victoria Day. Tours Canada, the US & Europe. Wins contemporary folk album of the year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards, for a rock & roll album (Blood's Too Rich).

At 36, produces albums for PEI's Rose Cousins, Winnipeg's Ultra Mega and plays guitar on Sarah McLachlan album Laws of Illusion. Also completes 2nd Luke Doucet & The White Falcon release, Steel City Trawler, with Sloan's Andrew Scott at the production helm. Andrew Scott brings both teenage irreverence and veteran experience, and a huge record collection, to the table. Runs first marathon (well..for those who are counting it was a 30km race vs a full 42 km marathon).

At 37, performs with Sarah Mclachlan, Melissa Mcclelland & Butterfly Boucher as part of the newly re-launched Lilith Fair and ultimately releases Steel City Trawler, complete with graphic artwork from Hamilton's David Collier… and trains for the Dartmoor-Vale Marathon in Devon UK, scheduled for the 17th of October. Stay Tuned...

There is not one song on here that I don't love or like a LOT. I've been listening.  I'm getting this, I am.  He incorporates so much...Hey Now reminds me a lot of Beck.
