WayBack Wednesday - In the beginning - Paul Simon
-
Artist:
-
Album:

This was originally released in 1965 when Paul was living in England, and prior to when The Sound of Silence hit the big time. Paul saw himself at that time as a "folk singer" playing the coffee houses and such. Of course, once the Columbia people hit on "rocking up" The Sound of Silence by dubbing in drums and electric guitars and increasing the tempo a bit, that quickly changed. Paul tells the story below.
The Story of Simon and Garfunkel
The Paul Simon Song Book was, I believe, only released over seas at the time.

Was this not eight years after his first hit "Hey Schoolgirl" when he called himself Jerry Landis?
That was a treat. I never heard the original versions of these songs as, of course, I was listening to " Sounds of Silence" when it came out. After hearing this, ya feel like ya know a guy...know what I mean?
But before all that.........
of course Tom & Jerry....... ...@Baudolino......I have the flipside...... .
This was a very enjoyable post to listen to.
