It has been well documented that Loudon and his kids aren't on the best of terms and if you've ever listened to Martha's or Rufus's music, you can pick up on this

Yowza - that's a gut-wrencher. Rufus' "Dinner at Eight" rips my heart out too. How lucky for us that a family of musicians work their shit out through song and we get to hear it.
The human condition constantly leaves me baffled
Maybe I expect answers where there aren't any
But you are right, we are gifted by these folks
Music is my expression.. and I love it when I hear other musicians write this way. It helps me when I can get out my pain, sorrow, joys and successes and failures in music.
