Contrary to what the name implies, Mountain Man is (l-r) Amelia Meath, Alex Sauser-Monnig, and Molly Sarle. This video is from a recording session for their forthcoming album, due out on Underwater Peoples this January. For this session, they were recording in the dining room of Amelia's apartment in North Bennington, VT. There is no overdubbing, and this was their first take. Video and audio production by Trevor Wilson.

I agree with Wiz....not my typical cup of tea, but I cannot deny they are good harmonizers.......and, it is impressive for a one take video.
The really great ones could sing the phone book in a telephone booth and make a better recording than many so-called "Artists." (If these are Mountain Men, it's time for a Rendezvous, complete with guzzling strong drink, trading various kinds of skin/furs, and carousing all night long.)

To me they have a Gillian Welsh/Kathleen Edwards kinda style, nice homely video work too that captures a compelling gloomyness
