dude......you ROCK for posting this! ok, they're old friends and i mixed them live in those days, but they never got the respect they deserved outside of downtown NY and i'm curious how you even knew about them. there was a second album that was slammin' as well that never came out. it's in my cassette collection!
I remember them..nice record. Definitely a good fit w/the 'bone and FNM. Sometimes the buzz that bands like Fishbone, Chili Peps, and Faith No More created allowed other bands to get signed..that was a good thing. I only wish the trend went more this way than toward Seattle.
i think Vernon opened some doors in this general direction later on.
I always figured the Menudo connection created the "Respect" prob, but that shit never flew with me. As I say, I like what I like.
oh, a friend turned me on to them back in the day
Robin - u need to digitize that cassette :-)
you're right, but unfortunately i won't be able to pass it out......
I do think I remember them a little, and they undoubtedly have the Faith No More sound.....very cool!
Funny about Menudo......but they had so many members (including Ricky Martin)
I spent my high school and part of my jr high years in Miami....a lot of my classmates were "in love" with someone from Menudo, haha!
Robby (the lead singer's real name) co-wrote and produced Ricky's stuff later on, so he made some bucks after all.
I love all the musical connections!
did not expect to like it ... but I did! :)
well Cin, there ya go :-)
