But you find a red rose in the morning light

Posted about 4 years ago
It’s a simple song for simple feelingYou see the moon and watch it riseAcross the continent the night bird singsAnd somewhere someone hears its crySo disillusionedKeep your head downIf you do they’ll never knowYou’ll have no answers to their questionsAnd they will have to let you goAnd disenfranchisedRevolutionThey’ll take away by right what’s yoursAnd make you martyrs of your own causeWhen they don’t know what cause it’s forAnd all desertedStand alertedThey’ll love you when you’re all aloneBut you find a red rose in the morning lightYou wait the night and find it goneSo hear my words with faith and passionFor what I say to you is trueAnd when you find the one you might becomeRemember part of me is youGreat song, great lyrics, great vocalBeauty is always in simplicity

  3. brittanybf says i've never listened to him much. he played a concert at my high school's football stadium a few years back. i don't know HOW my small ass town booked him. It was supposed to turn into a regular thing, bring in older acts to play every few months, but I guess everyone else is too good for Amesbury, Mass. Either that or they're dead. HA
