Poetry put to music, not just in the external sense, but in the sense that reaches your spirit. Such talent to describe real life in a way that we can relate to, whether we've been there or not.
That was excellent, thanks
Very nice listen.
Heard of 'em but not heard their music. Not too bad in an acoustic kind of way. Lead singer has somewhat of a Cat Stevens similarity going on.
I take it back, this is far more than 'not too bad', it's actually quite beautiful.
As I've noted before Auggie, I like your ear - I hadn't even noticed the Cat Stephens similarity til u mentioned it!
Probably because I've heard so much of their stuff and them, it got lost in the noise. But you are right and if this were my introduction to them, I would have probably noticed that right off.
It is beautiful, no doubt the impetus for the post. :-)
Why thank you very much Inrummy! Like ears hear alike, or something like that. I can understand how you would not hear the Cat Stephens similarity. Once you accept a band on their own merits, you appreciate them for their uniqueness.
Like I've said before(maybe not here), I'm always trying to make comparisons to other artists because it helps me give the music a frame of reference for me to enjoy further.
On second listen, this song is more than beautiful, it is gorgeous. . . .
You had me at the title... seems like you're describing me :-) Who told???
Shares with us an acutely observed personal moment. Very thoughtful and features little images that we can wonder at and feel even if they are too personal for us to fully understand. A nice setting for appreciate these insights. Not overblown or overimportant. "Paper ponies blowin' free" - "Us".
very beautiful for sure......yeah, the name of the post (and song) made me chuckle, but this song deserves close attention. sad and comforting simultaneously.
