"Pop punk" now there is an interesting genre! Listening to their stuff, I see the connection (well actually, I hear it), and I like it!

MySpace Bio:

Have You Heard, a pop punk band hailing from Nashville, Tennessee have quickly taken over the Nashville scene and the hearts of their dedicated fans. Have You Heard has recently finished their debut EP, We Do This By Ourselves, and is very proud of what they have accomplished. Vocalist Jeff Moore says, "Music is my passion and one of the reasons I moved to Nashville was to meet other musicians who shared the same dream as I do. With this EP I really feel like we have created something that people are going to love." So far, the EP has been met with good public reception.

Have You Heard consists of five members; Jeff Moore on vocals, Matthew Joseph on guitars, Andrew Kessler on guitar, Jaime Shafer on bass and Jim Chiodo on drums. Both Moore and Kessler were members in popular Nashville metal/hardcore bands and Chiodo in a popular hardcore band in Chicago. Collectively, the members have over 200 shows under their belts and more importantly, the experience needed to be successful in today's music scene.

Have You Heard came together in the fall of 2008. Guitarist Matthew Joseph who was the visionary for the band, says, "Pop Punk music has always been one of my favorite genres, and I just love the energy of playing it on stage." He recruited Moore to do vocals and the two started recording acoustic demos while trying to recruit other members. During the summer of 2008, Moore met Jaime Shafer. The two spoke about the new project and Shafer was quick to offer his skills on bass. Soon after, guitarist Andrew Kessler was recruited for the band and started collaborating with Jaikaran on the soon to be, "We Do This By Ourselves" EP.

With four songs written, the only link missing was drummer Jim Chiodo. Moore had been friends with Chiodo "for many moons" and knew he would be a great fit. Chiodo had been looking for a new project to take on and was eager to dive in and join the band.

With the bands musical influences including, but not limited to, New Found Glory, Blink 182, Valencia, and Hit The Lights, they feel they have created music enjoyable to all, taking all the best parts of popular music today and creating their own unique sound. Have You Heard is chomping at the bit to get out on the road and show the world what they're made of.

Has the style and the drive without the thorns.  Definitely lose some weight on this dance floor.  Good.

I haven't heard of Have You Heard until now.  They remind me somewhat of Relient K, especially the singer.  Good stuff!

What amazes me is all the (good) stuff that flies under everyone's radar.
