Funky Friday offering

Posted 5 months ago

I do what I can when it comes to funky Friday (which isn't much) as I usually leave it to the funk master cody. But someone in the harem thought this was a worthy tune to post.
I don't fuck with the harem when they make a suggestion, so here ya go. :-)

War, Greatest Hits Live is their first new release in 14 years and includes over two hours of music including every classic hit!
Good Stuff!!

I have a friend (1) for whom WAR is always playing. Always. I've sort of come to turn and run when I hear them.

Works mightily for me..nice one. I would have to say that WAR was the first Funk band I came in contact with as a youngster..they were the ones topping the charts in the early 70's..the charts were my bible and the AM radio was my minister when I was 8,9, and 10, with WAR opening my mind to funk. sweet.

Funky and jazzy.....a cool pick.  I am not a huge fan, but there are a few of their songs I like a lot---this one included.

I find this a little disappointing. Lonnie Jordan is the only original member in this version of the band . It lacks the punch of the original band. the album War Live would be my better choice. I wore that record out back then.

True indeed CP...I'm was speaking on WAR in general, but yeah, they have continued on...not always in fine fashion. Galaxy (1977), I think, was the last true WAR record. With limited exception, things kinda went south after that.
