WE DO THE MASHED POTATO AND THE FUNKY CHICKEN

Reflections

Posted 8 months ago

This is taken from Graham Nash's new box set "Reflections" It was originally on his first solo disc (and one of my personal favorites) "Songs for Beginners" which was pretty much Graham going through a very heart wrenching breakup with Joni Mitchell.

As you can hear here, this was a one sided breakup.

Oddly enough, a few of us were talking about Graham today, and we agreed that even when he veered into the overly earnest now and again, it was lovely to listen to him, and he always seemed a decent sort.

If there is one thing you can say about Graham, he is indeed a decent sort.

    And an incrredible human being.

Lovely tune. When he wasn't overly sentimental, he was quite the tunesmith.

....with great trepidation I pushed the red button.  I pushed it again after a few....moments.  I take my Graham Nash in miniscule doses.

Wonderful post. I might have "Songs For Beginners" on vinyl or on reel to reel tape if I bought it while in the Army.

Never have listened to Mr. Nash's solo work, but this is quite reflective and fits today's overcast glumness. Thanks!

Yes, oddly enough, it fits my mood today also....it is depressing but in a cathartic kind of way.........

Ahhhhh, spring break hours this week, so we close earlier than usual, and I think when I get home I will curl up into a comfy fetal position...maybe I will stop by the (best) local record shop and look for this first.

BTW---that would be simply   Tom's CDs

they are the best around NW Florida
