Everyone's gotta be somewhere on a Friday night

Decade in the Sun: The Best of Stereophonics is a compilation album of greatest hits by Stereophonics. It features tracks from all six of the band's previous albums, beginning from the 1997 debut release, Word Gets Around from which this tune comes, all the way through to 2007's Pull The Pin, plus two brand new songs, "You're My Star" and "My Own Worst Enemy". Good intro to the band for those who like to sample.

I dunno what it is with this style of music, but it just doesn't do anything for me. Of course having only heard this one song, I really shouldn't judge.

TO answer the real question, though, I'm at work, and it's Friday night. :-(

I love this band and the Welsh blood that runs in these veins too inrumford! Should we give the Capn the hit?

Welsh? Why didn't you say so. I'm of Welsh descent.

    Ok, this tune is better.

Geez, so much in such a small post yummygatalover! "Fellow" Canuck? You, I assume, and inrumford too?

Golly, I feel all warm suddenly.

Not a bad song but at first listen nothing memorable to me. Just doesn't make me feel that I have to have it if you know what I mean. It is easy enough to listen to but just seems to be missing something for me. yummygatalover video post has a little more appeal for me but still won't make me run out and get it.

Thanks for this. I recently realized that, through many years of "free" magazine samplers, I've acquired 4 tracks by Stereophonics that refuse to leave the iPod (as most of the free tracks do).

They remind me a bit of Del Amitri, which is a compliment coming from me. I like this, and am determined to check them out further, maybe even (gasp!) buying a CD!

I have to agree with wizillusions on this (well, I don't HAVE to; I just do!).

Maybe if I gave it time it might grow on me.
