MOG MOG

MUSIC SIGNPOSTS ON THE WEB'S LONELY ROAD

So maybe by this point you are sick of hearing about Glastonbury- the mud, the crowds, Jay-z impersonating Oasis, did we mention the mud.....

But I've found these artist snippets (by NME) quite good entertainment- hearing the artists backstage while they chill out...something about the energy of 150,0000 spectators activates artistic synapses I guess.

Without further ado:

The Kings of Leon - w. bad-ass Southern-tinged accents

The Editors - in tight suits

The Teenagers with fabulous French accents

We Are The Scientists looking like Scientists

MGMT looking hippie and happy as usual

CSS spreading the Brazil Love

The Ting Tings

From what I've seen on the TV (we get 5/6 hours of it each night on the BBC) its looking pretty good this year with very little mud......

Yeah, I am gutted I didn't go this year, since it's looking pretty mud free! Last year was so exhausting I decided to go to Europe for my festival fix this year, hoping for somewhere drier!

Keep thinking of going to Europe, but the festivals never seem to have as many stages as the UK ones. It's just V and Reading for me this year.....

Am going to Rock Werchter in Belgium next week - only two stages, as you say, but sometimes that is a good thing, especially if you're feeling lazy! Great line-up & cheap as chips too! Can't wait...

ps Neil- I was wondering why there's so much god-damn video footage of BBC on Youtube. I mean, this year, I am already feeling innundated by Glastobury- you guys must be realllly drowning in it! :)

I'm going to Lowlands for the first time, this Dutch festival. I believe they have like five music stages, a huge one, a big one, and I believe 2 or 3 smaller ones. Also got comedy and theater and dance and stuff. Reason I haven't been there before because I absotuly hate camping and sleeping in tents.

Kings of Leon looked great Friday. Too bad the BBC thought it was wise to not show the song "Knocked Up", the best of their last album in my eyes. Buddy Guy was absolutely brilliant yesterday as well. Looking forward to The National tonight, hope BBC shows a good chunk.

Thanks for posting those vids in one thread!
